The Mad Scot Dog
Podczas naszej wyprawy do Glasgow w Szkocji zainspirowaliśmy się Mad Chefem, Dannym McLarenrm i postanowiliśmy stworzyć naszego własnego hot doga:
30 cm-long kielbasa
3 slices thick-cut bacon
1 baked russet potato, cut into wedges
1 hoagie roll
1 avocado, sliced
Snipped chives

Bubblegum BBQ Sauce:
½ cup ketchup
1 Tbsp. yellow mustard
A few splashes of hot sauce
2 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
__ golden mustard
__ brown sugar
__ molasses
__ salt
3 bubblegum balls

Chili Cheese Sauce:
1 can chili
1 dash cayenne pepper
1 tsp. chili powder
½ tsp. smoked paprika
1 tsp. mustard powder
1 Tbsp. soy sauce
1 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
½ cup heavy cream
1 cup shredded gouda and/or Monterey jack cheese

Wrap kielbasa in bacon. Use toothpicks to hold bacon in place if needed. Cook in sauté pan until every side is brown and crispy. Use lower heat; this will take about 10-12 minutes. Be patient!
Bubblegum BBQ Sauce:
This is going to blow your MIND. Combine all ingredients except bubblegum in medium saucepot over medium heat. Once warm, add bubblegum balls and simmer for 10 minutes. Strain BBQ sauce and toss out the bubblegum. Or eat them…whatever you want to do.
Chili Cheese Sauce:
Combine all ingredients except cream and cheese in a medium saucepot and cook down. Add cream, then cheese, and heat until cheese is melted.
Fry potato wedges until golden, crispy and delicious. Drain on paper towels and hit with a dash of salt.
Warm up hoagie roll in oven; slice down the center lengthwise but not all the way through.
Add cooked bacon-wrapped kielbasa and top it with fries, chili cheese sauce, bubblegum BBQ sauce, and avocado. Garnish with chives. Delicious!

3 Things to Do With Avocado
Bake an egg in it:
Cut avocado in half. Remove pit and scoop out a li’l bit of the avocado meat from one side. Place the half avocado in an oven-proof skillet with some tinfoil at the base so it doesn’t wobble. Crack an egg into the hole of the avocado and bake at 375º until egg is cooked, about 30 minutes. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, and dot with sriracha.
Spread it on toast:
Mash a ripe avocado, toast some bread, and spread it on there.
Chococado pudding:
Charli XCX challenged us to make something using chocolate, chile, and avocado…so we did. Blend the flesh of an overly ripe avocado, a spoonful of cocoa powder, and a drizzle of honey in a food processor. Garnish with raspberries, banana slices, mint leaves, and honey. Seriously, it really looks like pudding!

Philly Pretzel Banh Mi Schnitzel
A visit to our hometown of Philadelphia inspired us to create this pretzel schnitzel sandwich. Soft pretzel bread with Vietnamese-banh-mi-style veggies, chicken schnitzel, and fried eggs sounds weird, but trust us … it’s SO. GOOD.

Pizza dough (you can get this in the frozen-food aisle or from your local pizza shop)
1 Tbsp. pretzel salt
⅓ cup baking soda

Oil for frying
2 chicken thighs
2 eggs
1 cup panko bread crumbs
1 cup all-purpose flour
Pinch salt and pepper

Pickled Veggies:
½ cup white, apple cider, or rice wine vinegar
¼ cup water
¼ cup sugar
Pinch salt
1 dash fish sauce
1 Granny Smith apple
2 carrots

¼ cup hoisin
¼ cup deli mustard
¼ cup chopped cilantro
1 Tbsp. sriracha

Other ingredients:
Cucumber, sliced lengthwise
2 fried eggs

1. Preheat oven to 425°.
2. Fill a large, high-sided skillet halfway with water and heat on high until simmering. Add the baking soda.
3. Gently roll the pizza dough into 2 sandwich-size loaf shapes. Add to the simmering water and cook about 20 seconds per side. Remove boiled buns with a slotted spoon and drain on a paper towel.
4. Transfer boiled buns to a parchment-lined baking tray. Carefully make small diagonal cuts on the top of the buns with a sharp knife. Sprinkle the tops with pretzel salt and bake for about 25 minutes or until nice and golden brown.
Pickled Veggies:
1. Add vinegar, water sugar, salt, and fish sauce to a microwave-safe bowl or a mason jar. Microwave until mixture is hot and sugar is dissolved, about 1 minute.
2. Peel apple, carrots, and daikon with julienne peeler or cut into thin strips. Add to warm pickling solution and let sit until cool.
1. Pound chicken thighs until thin.
2. Whisk two eggs in one bowl. Add panko and flour to another.
3. Dip chicken in panko/flour, then egg, then back in panko/flour.
4. Heat oil in medium sauté pan.
5. Fry chicken until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
Combine all ingredients in a small bowl.
Carefully slice open one cooled pretzel loaf with a serrated knife. Spread sauce on one side of bun. Add crispy chicken, pickled veggies, and cucumber. Top with 2 fried eggs, garnish with cilantro, and enjoy the greatest sandwich of all time!

Nacho Tortilla Scramble
Underage eating time! You can totally make this portable snack in your college dorm room and take it to class with you.
Cooking spray
2 eggs
Shredded cheddar cheese
Avocado, cut into chunks (optional)
2 small bags of nacho cheese tortilla chips
Spray surface of electric grill. Scramble eggs on electric grill. Add cheese, salsa, and avocado and mix. Crush up chips inside bags, and scoop equal amounts of mixture into each bag.

Haggis Quesadilla
Haggis is a traditional Scottish dish made with sheep liver and lungs and stuff. We made this quesadilla—using an iron—backstage at the MTV EMA in Glasgow, and we got Ed Sheeran and David Hasselhoff to try it.

Chopped veggies
Sliced cheese
1 large flour tortilla
Sauce, whatever you’re a fan of
Layer haggis, veggies and cheese on one side of the tortilla. Fold the tortilla over and press down on the top. Wrap tortilla in parchment-paper-lined tinfoil and wrap foil around tortilla to make a packet. Press down on foil packet with a hot iron. (Sounds weird, but it works!) Zip with sauce.
